DMCA Policy

TheStudyGuide respects the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement.

If you believe that content on our platform infringes your copyright, please send a takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent at thestudyguidesupport@gmail.com.

To be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must include all of the following:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work — describe the work you claim has been infringed (e.g., "Chapter 4 of [Textbook Title] by [Author], ISBN XXXX").
2. Identification of the infringing material — tell us exactly where the infringing content appears in the app (a URL or specific description is helpful).
3. Your contact information — include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
4. A good faith statement — a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. An accuracy statement — a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
6. Your signature — a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.

Notices missing any of these elements may not be processed. Submitting a false DMCA notice is illegal and may expose you to liability.

We aim to respond to all valid notices within 3–5 business days.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its original location
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
4. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. If you repeatedly upload content that infringes others' intellectual property rights, your account will be permanently suspended.
